Sponsored Hike in the Breacon Beacons

A group of 15 PBCC members have chosen to raise funds for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Surrey.

Not for the faint hearted.

A group of 15 PBCC members have chosen to raise funds for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Surrey.

Our group chooses different charities and we tend to run a similar challenge every year.

BECAUSE EVERY DAY IS PRECIOUS

Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice is the only adult Hospice caring for terminally ill people and their families across the whole of West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire, both at the Hospice and in the community.

For many patients, when a cure is not possible, hospice care offers a more dignified and comfortable alternative to spending time in a hospital. Their care helps patients manage pain and improves the quality of life for both the patient and their family.

Seeking care through this Hospice isn’t about giving up hope or hastening death, but rather a way to get the most appropriate care in the last phase of life…because every day is precious.

Please support by sponsoring us (your donation will go to Phillis Tuckwell Hospice) visit http://www.hindhead-giving.com/ and donate via the ‘Just Giving’ link.  Thank you in advance!

Bleak but beautiful

The Challenge

To complete the three Peaks Pen-Y-Fan walk, located in the Brecon Beacons, South Wales. Pen-Y-Fan is the highest point in southern UK providing a challenging hike but fantastic views. The date set for this event is 27th March 2015. The walk is a 9 mile hike over the famous three peaks.

Climbing the three peaks can be dangerous and we have a back-up plan in case the weather conditions (e.g. thick fog) do not allow, we will complete a less challenging, but none the less beautiful waterfall walk

The Peaks ahead…

Climbing the three peaks can be dangerous and we have a back-up plan in case the weather conditions (e.g. thick fog) do not allow, we will complete a less challenging, but none the less beautiful waterfall walk. Whichever activity we complete, it is a day out, dedicated to raising funds for charity.

The weather was very nice thankfully. The forecast was thick fog, rain and strong winds so we were pleasantly surprised to have some sunshine and none of the forecast.
