Plymouth Brethren Students Awarded at National Presentation Day.

The PBCC believe that getting out of our comfort zones brings success at school and in life generally.  It was to recognize student’s success that a National Presentation Day was held at the end of 2014, to award the double Gold awards to students from Focus Schools all over the UK.

Focus Schools (the trust set up to run the schools that PBCC students attend) has had a long history of excellent results and above average reports from the Schools Inspection Service, and this is reflected in the attitude of the students to learning as can be witnessed in the inspirational video on this blog.

Double Gold Award winners are selected from the campus Gold Award winners.    They are students who have shone as role models in all areas of school activities such as leadership, academic achievement, management skills and fulfilling their potential. It is a motivational award, not specifically a reward for the highest achieving students but an award to motivate those who have set themselves to become achievers, recognising a change in attitude towards, or a renewed determination to reach their life goals. The national Dux certificates were also presented to the highest achieving student at GCSE and A Level in Focus schools.

The National Presentation Day was a great success, and with motivational speeches, live music and a 5 course meal provided for the students, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day!

For the readers interest, the majority of PBCC students go on to Further and Higher education which again requires serious self-discipline and determination, and as a result enjoy very successful business careers.
