Biggleswade Campus help fight Ebola
The BikeAThon
PBCC children attending Biggleswade Campus from years 7 to 13, and other volunteers, had a sponsored bikeathon round Grafham Water on Saturday 21st February to raise money for the British Red Cross Ebola Appeal. A target of £5,000.00 was exceeded before the bikeathon even began and the appeal closed at £6,181.00 (plus Gift Aid)!! Click here to view the MyDonate page. Well done everyone, and a big thank you to our generous sponsors ! …
About the venue
Set in 2,400 acres of beautiful countryside, the Grafham Water 10-mile cycle path caters for all abilities, from gentle tarmac paths for the young to challenging terrains for the daring. The Rutland Cycling shop offers sale or hire of a wide range of quality bikes and a number of our riders used their cycles for the day. They offered a generous discount to riders supporting the Red Cross appeal – Thank you Rutland Cycling!!
The Ebola Crisis
Since the outbreak was confirmed, there have been 20,656 cases of Ebola in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Mali, Nigeria and Senegal, and 8,153 deaths. British Red Cross urgently needs support to help fight this terrifying disease. Please read their Snapshot below to understand more what they are doing to help.
