Bournemouth Borough Council has to exercise and train for Survivor Rest Centre facilities on a regular basis to fulfil the UK Civil Contingencies Act 2004 as a key agency requirement, ‘to plan, train, exercise, review and prepare for consequences of major emergencies and their impact on their communities’. This provision should be made by Local Authorities that provides temporary accommodation for those made homeless by such events.
