Go bright for sight!

Following on from their successful colour run in July, Sight Concern Worcestershire again arranged a colour-run to raise the much-needed funds to support the excellent work that they do!

Sight Concern is a team of outstanding volunteers that are committed to support blind and partially sighted people lead independent and fulfilling lives – and they’ve been doing this for an incredible 130 years! (Well, we think their team may have changed a bit in that time… but their dedication certainly hasn’t!)

On Saturday the 5th of September, over 400 participants of all ages eagerly assembled at the Arrow Valley Country Park in Redditch to complete the 5k colour run to raise the funds for the amazing work that they do.

The colour run was a fun-packed and colourful day. The RRT deemed it was a privilege to be able to support Sight Concern in such a meaningful way, and over 30 volunteers from their teams in Worcester, Stow and Birmingham enjoyed helping on all aspects of the event; from setting up the route and event arena, to marshalling, colour-bombing, handing out water, presenting awards to the participants and the big tidy up.

Handing out the water.

Handing out the water.

RRT had a lot of grateful comments from the willing participants and are looking forward to helping Sight Concern again in the future!
